Hello, I am new to this forum. I discovered it by accident while researching poker rooms and have come to greatly enjoy all of the insights. I am a young college student who just recently started taking the game seriously. Although I win more than I lose, I wouldn't quite call myself a shark yet. I have read some strategy books and observed the TV pros. But I quickly realized that playing small stakes games online is very different than what Jennifer Harman is talking about when she writes about Hold'Em. This sites been great on teaching my discipline, and most importantly, money management. Most pros don't talk about how to protect your bankroll. I look forward to learning all that I can from the forums

Socrates,

I never got to formally welcome you to the forum... so welcome! Thanks for joining us and I look forward to your future questions and postings. That's great news that you're winning more than you're losing. That puts you above the majority of players and will mean that your bankroll will continue to swell (assuming that your losses are smaller than your wins - a tough thing to always accomplish for all of us). I'm glad that the articles and forum has been helpful to you. It always makes me feel gratified to know that someone is actually using the site to become a better player. If I can use some of my experiences to help other players choose a site and win once they get there, then I've done my job. Again, welcome and please feel free to post any future questions and/or thoughts.

I can't add anything important... except that I'm a post grad student (and a little bit older Wink ) and I'm happy to have found this place...
