Okay, I just had to tell you about this hand that I played last night before I went to bed. It just made me laugh... in a good way, at least.
I was playing at multiple tables with my main one being a $2/4 NL full-table ring game. I bought in for $200 and had about $190 left. I can't remember why, but I was steaming after something happened on one of the other tables. I called with J-10 offsuit from early position. Only one caller from late position and then the big blind raised it to $20. I should've folded, but I was steaming and called the bet. No one else did.
The flop came out 2c-8c-5c and I looked again to find that my J was of clubs. He bet about $24 and I raised him all-in. I don't know why I did it. I guess I was hoping to scare him off with the flush on the board. He calls me right away to show A-K offsuit. Neither were clubs so I figured I had some outs. The turn was a 2c but the river was a 10d!!! I scooped a nice pot with my terrible play (thanks to his even worse call) and signed off right away, figuring that I was playing stupid enough that I shouldn't keep it up. |
