| I know everyone loves looking down and seeing those pocket aces when your cards are dealt to you, but does anyont have any favorite starting hands that are a little different from the usual ones? Personally I like Q 9 suited. It has been pretty lucky for me in the past and has one me some decent pots. Anyone have a favorite hand that they like to play almost all of the time (as long as no huge raises pre-flop)? |

| Thanks for joining the forum and thanks for the interesting post. I would have to say that I have a weakness for K-Qs from late position in cash games. It's a tricky hand as you can easily be dominated if you hit top pair on the flop, but you're probably in good shape if there wasn't a preflop raise. Ideally, you're looking to hit two pair, a straight, flush, or big draw. |

My favorite is a pair of eights. Had a couple lucky hands where I made trips on the flop. There were two times where I went all in pre-flop and got called with pocket aces. I was congratulating the aces holder when the third eight came on the river. Love those eights!!! |

| I have to say AJ suited from middle to last position simply because its one of the hardest hands to play in holdem, but against fish it does extremely well. More often than not, if you flop a pair its usually good and you will always get paid off by weak aces. I usually call/raise with this hand 30/70% of the time respectively. Id just like to add that getting AA and KK has to be the best because the bad players just dont understand how much strength is represented when you raise from a blind. Anyone else get paid off quite handsomely when getting these 2? I definitely have made a lot more money with these hands online then in any of the live games Ive played in. |
