| Are there any major differences between Super System 1 and Super System 2? I have read quite a bit of number 1 and found a lot of useful information. |

Good question. Yes, most of the book is completely different. However, what is interesting is that Doyle's original No-Limit Hold'em section remains untouched and simply reprinted in Super System 2. If you are simply interested in Hold'em and that's all you play, you probably won't need to purchase both books. The sequel also includes some interesting autobiographical information from Doyle and a word about the WPT and online poker.
What is worthwhile about the original is the collection of poker variation sections from great players: Mike Caro, David Sklansky, Bobby Baldwin (I believe - it's been a while since I've looked through it), and other classic greats. If you care about Five Card Draw, that's what Caro writes about for the original editions. The sequel has some great sections on Omaha and Stud games by names like Todd Brunson and Daniel Negreanu.
Hope this helps...[/i] |
