Unknowns Dominate the Final Table at
the Crown Casino

Perhaps
I'm out of the mainstream poker
world, but I don't recognize any of
these names at the final table of
the 2006 Aussie Millions poker
tournament. I did hear that
Paradise Poker qualifier, and
chip leader for most of the
tournament, Jeff Sealey busted out
in 5th place. The event wrapped up
early this morning at the Crown
Casino in Melbourne, Australia. On a
side note, Australia has been
receiving its own poker boom of
sorts with this tournament and
Joseph Hachem's WSOP Championship
win.
Lee
Nelson ended up taking first prize
and just under $1,000,000 for his
efforts. The tournament featured 418
players paying up $10,000 to create
a $3,150,000 prize pool. Antonio Esfandiari finished in 11th place,
and here is a look at the final
table:
1. Lee
Nelson - $972,000
2.
Robert Neary - $517,000
3. Nenad
Medic - $282,000
4.
Shannon Shorr - $203,000
5. Jeff
Sealey - $156,000
6.
Russell Davies - $125,000
7. Wes
Bugiera - $94,000
8. Mark
Vos - $62,000
9. Kenna
James - $62,000
