The Caesar's Palace Poker Room
Reopens after a 16 Year Hiatus
December 22, 2005
Caesar's
Palace Las Vegas opened up their new
poker room for the first time since
1989 this week at a cost of $12
million. The new facility is state
of the art and features a separate
room for holding big tournaments.
Since Harrah's is the parent company
of Caesar's, they bring with them
the WSOP brand and plan to host WSOP
Circuit events at the casino.
One of
the benefits of a new facility is
that it will be smoke-free, a
feature that I believe more Las
Vegas poker rooms should employ. As
mentioned earlier, since Harrah's
owns the casino they'll be able to
host tournaments in the tournament
area while still keeping the poker
room open for business. This is
great for players as tournament side
games can be very juicy.
