Online Poker Site Launches Software
for Mac Poker Players
January 20, 2006 (written by Beat The Fish)
We have
previously let you know that
Full Tilt Poker was going to be
launching a new software platform
compatible with Macs. This week,
they made it official with the Beta
program release. Instead of
utilizing Java Browser windows,
Full Tilt is actually offering a
native software package ready for
download at their site. To
celebrate, the site is also giving
away a Mac each day for players
through January.
While
this is still a Beta version,
relatively few bugs have been
reported as of yet such as increased
CPU and other inconsequential
nitpickings. Mac users won't need an
emulator such as Virtual PC to use
the software, and it will require at
least an 800MHz processor and Mac OS
10.3 or higher. This adds
Full Tilt to the list of
Macintosh-compatible online poker
rooms; the rest being
Pacific Poker,
Poker Room, and
Hollywood Poker.
