Poker Site Offers 100 Seats That
Can't be Bought
March 4, 2006 (written by Beat The Fish)
Full
Tilt Poker is one of a handful of
online poker sites already
qualifying players for the 2006
World Series of Poker. While it is
too early to speculate at actual
numbers, the fact is that Harrah’s
is expecting at least 8,000 entrants
this year into the Main Event. That
would push the first place prize
money to over $10 million.
Full Tilt is giving away 100
seats free to this year’s Main Event over the next few
months. You can’t buy into the qualifiers; you can earn
your way in via special daily freerolls, earning Full
Tilt Points, or doing well in other WSOP qualifying
events. You can also earn multiple entries and the
extras will be converted into $12,000 cash in your
account. Specifically, here's how you can qualify for
the freerolls that give 20 seats away each:
1) Earn 10,000 Full Tilt
Points in the qualifying month.
2) Finish in the top 50 for
WSOP points by playing in satellites.
3) Win a specified daily
freeroll.
This is a pretty neat promotion if you play often at the
site or are looking for a cheap (read free in this case)
way to take a shot at a WSOP satellite. If you don’t
qualify for free, they’re also running direct buy-in
supersatellites, and their first level starts at $4. The
final round has a $500 buy-in (if you don’t qualify
through lower levels), so there will be more seats
available in relation to the player field. You can check
out the
Full Tilt Poker homepage for more details.
