Joseph Hachem Finishes Strong in WSOP Circuit
Event
November 23, 2005
At the
recent WSOP Circuit Event at Bally's
in Las Vegas, Joseph Hachem was
making a strong big to prove his
poker prowess. With the Main Event
of the WSOP largely becoming a
crapshoot due to insanely large
fields, many assumed that Joseph
Hachem was a one-hit wonder of the
poker world. Now playing under the
Poker Stars banner, Hachem was in
great shape to win the WSOP circuit
event until his pocket K-K was drawn
out by Kido Pham's J-10. Hachem lost
most of his chips, and perhaps the
rest of his patience, on the hand.
He eventually finished 5th in the
event and took away over $88,000 in
prize money. Pham ended up winning
the event. Here are the final
results from the 134 player, $1.2
million tournament.
1. Kido Pham - $442,000
2. J.C. Tran - $251,000
3. Lee Watkinson - $138,000
4. Scotty Nguyen - $100,000
5. Joseph Hachem - $88,000
