PartyGaming Buys Out MultiPoker for $14.5
Million
November 15, 2005
In
another expected move to bully
around
Party Poker skins,
PartyGaming (Party Poker's parent
company) bought out the
MultiPoker.com skin for $14.5
million. This allows Party Poker to
gain control of their substantial
northern European player base. This
move follows the alienation of other
large skins such as Empire Poker.
Also,
IntertopsPoker.com handed over
control to PartyGaming. This move
also gives PartyGaming control of
their player base and encourages
crossover marketing to Party Poker.
Finally,
Coral Eurobet left the PartyGaming
bandwagon and will move its players
to an independent platform. With so
many subsidiaries being consumed by
PartyGaming, they plan to develop a
new platform that will allow players
to easily use any of their sites
from one central account.
