Overall:  5/5

The pieces are certainly in place to make Superbook Poker a powerhouse in the new US online poker landscape. Starting with logistics, players shouldn't have any trouble funding their accounts thanks to the near-100% acceptance rate for US credit cards. American players have been caught in the middle of a cat-and-mouse game with payment processors and poker rooms. Superbook Poker has been a breath of fresh air in its ability to accept virtually all US credit or debit cards.

I've been impressed with the ring game traffic at Superbook Poker, which offers busy tables up to the $10/20 level and some of the worst players you'll find online. Flop percentages are extremely high in comparison with larger sites and the amount of money you'll see wagered on marginal hands, bad draws, and transparent bluffs is staggering. The massive bonus offered to our players is another big positive at 200%, another 10% as instant cash, and a $25 free sports bet.

Overall, the experience this smaller site offers has been very positive, especially in terms of ease of use with their banking. If you're willing to break from the norm of the poker room conglomerates, Superbook Poker should appeal to players fed up with difficult deposits and tight tables.

Bonus (200% plus 10% instantly and $25 free bet) and Promotions:   5/5

In order to attract new players Superbook Poker is offering an extremely aggressive bonus to our visitors. In addition to a 200% play-through bonus, our players receive an extra 10% as instant cash on their first deposit. The maximum bonus cap is $500. Finally, our players receive a free $25 bet in the sportsbook regardless of their deposit amount. While you may or may not be a big sports bettor, it's completely free so take advantage of it.

Please note that our 210% offer is over twice the standard bonus and players must sign up through our links to Superbook Poker to be eligible. Players must also use Superbook bonus code SUPERBONUS at the poker cashier for the 210% bonus. When opening a new account, players will also need to use promo code 25BET for the free $25 sports bet.

I appreciate the Superbook Poker bonus more for its structure that its size. Besides a bit of instant cash, the 200% play-through bonus is substantial and can be earned much easier than comparable offers from larger sites. Finally, the $25 free sports bet is a nice touch on an already-strong bonus structure. It's a fun distraction and a free way to ease yourself into the betting genre. If you lose you certainly don't have to touch the sportsbook again but, if nothing else, the free bet makes a casual weekend watch that much more interesting.

Other worthwhile promotions at Superbook Poker include the Gold Chip and Gold Card system. You earn both as you play ring games and tournaments. Gold Chips can be redeemed for special freerolls or other prizes. Gold Cards can be collected for cash prizes. Overall, the promotions seem generous, plentiful, and earnable, which is one major benefit of playing at a smaller site.

Fish  5/5

Perhaps the biggest reason Superbook Poker is quietly growing is the extremely poor quality of play. With the current online poker populous shifting towards experienced players who can get around deposit difficulties, this site is an exception. I would go so far as to say Superbook Poker and its network now offer the loosest tables online.

With ring games gravitating towards no limit hold'em, you'll find flop percentages for 9-handed games at Superbook Poker often exceeding 30-40% and average pots settling in at 20+ big blinds. These numbers are at least 10-20% more than the larger sites which translates to more inexperienced players overplaying marginal hands, seeing too many flops, and risking too much on thin draws. A major plus is the fact that the wild play doesn't stop at all at the higher limits.

All of this poor play spells profit for more experienced players who should mostly play by the book, tighten up, and waste little time putting in substantial raises with premium hands. Simply put, the tables at Superbook Poker are some of the loosest that you're going to find online. It certainly earns its top Fish Rating.

Tournaments:   4/5

While the main draw of Superbook Poker is the loose cash games, the overall tournament action is better than I would expect from a newer site. During peak hours, you'll find about 4-5 tournaments per hour with at least 1 or 2 of them being guaranteed events ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. The buy-ins are reasonable at $5-30 and you'll typically encounter 300-500 players per tourney.

The big Sunday tournament at Superbook Poker features a $75,000 guarantee with a $100 buy-in. You can find larger events at the larger sites, but you'll face less players here with a substantially less skill set than the more-trafficked sites. Superbook Poker probably won't be the only site that tournament players will visit, but it does offer plenty of guaranteed events with poorer players, on average.

Software:   4/5

The Sportsbook Poker software isn't going to earn any awards for style and innovation. However, what it lacks in originality it makes up for in function. In my book, a perfectly fine poker software package is one that you won't notice or curse very often. While players often criticize bland software, I believe that unless you're specifically looking for a slick visual package, functionality is truly the most important factor.

Superbook Poker offers a choice of several avatars at the table with a typical bird's-eye view of the action. Games tend to move along swiftly at 60+ hands per hour at 10-handed tables. The lobbies can be filtered well and the software offers an extensive hand history feature. You won't find many advanced software features but you shouldn't find much lacking, either. Overall, the software works matches the simple but effective nature of the site as a whole.

US Payouts:  4/5

While Superbook Poker doesn't offer a wealth of withdrawal options, players won't need to open up a separate e-wallet to get their money in a timely fashion. The site allows a free Fedex check withdrawal monthly, which should allow you to receive checks within 2 or 3 days of them being issued. The total wait is usually about 2 weeks, which is reasonable and an improvement over the 4-6 week timeframe some of the larger rooms offer for checks.

Customer Service  5/5

The three most important customer service options a site can offer are e-mail, telephone, and live chat support. Superbook Poker covers them and, thus, I'm giving them a top score. I would suggest the live chat option first as the operators seem friendly and pretty knowledgeable of small details. Also, I always appreciate when poker rooms have enough confidence to publish their telephone number.

Player Traffic

The network that Superbook Poker chose is already established and has been building players for a couple of years now. As a result, you shouldn't have trouble finding several active games going at all hours. Peak times usually bring about 10+ full no limit games at each level with a couple of tables of $5/10 or above. You can double that number for 6-handed games. Tournaments usually attract 500+ for guaranteed events.

Best Features

Extremely loose tables. The ring games contain some of the worst players online.

Credit card processing. All US credit cards should be accepted by the cashier.

Large exclusive bonus. In order to build a new player base the site is offering a vastly increased bonus for our players.

Established network. The player traffic is impressive for a newer site with 10-20 active ring games at most hours and most limits.

Game Selection: Hold'em, Omaha, 7 card stud

Limits: Limit: 4c/8c up to $100/$200    No-Limit: 2c/4c up to $50/$100

Deposit Methods: Visa, Mastercard, or Cash Transfer. I would recommend any US players to try their credit card using the built-in cashier first. No US credit cards should be blocked at Superbook Poker even if they have been at other poker sites. If you do have any problems try calling in to have your card charged. Cash transfers can be also done at thousands of physical locations. Ask the poker room directly for transfer details.

Minimum Deposit: $20

Tips: Discussing the poor quality of Superbook Poker players above, I mentioned that you should be able to profit simply by playing "by the book". What this means is that you can play very straightforward poker: raise your super-premium hands, fold marginal ones without hesitation, slowplay sparingly, and punish draws.

While a straightforward by-the-book strategy seems simple enough most players deviate from this basic forumla by mixing in fancy plays and changing gears to disguise their holdings. While that is certainly advisable in many poker situations, I believe that it can actually work against you at a table full of loose, aggressive, and mostly inexperienced players. Don't hesitate to show extreme strength with big pocket pairs.

Superbook Poker players like to gamble so raise liberally and often to maximize pots. Fold your marginal hands without mercy, especially out of position. The last thing you want is to face a lot of maniacal pressure with a medium-strength hand. With such a simple strategy, the main fear would be that players would catch on and play you accordingly. Fortunately, with the high online table turnover, multi-tabling, and lack of deep-thinking players you'll find that very few adapt to your style.
