Overall:  4/5

In a relatively short time of existence, Titan Poker has become one of the more popular international poker rooms. They're offering some generous promotions including an increased 150% bonus for our players as well as a $20 instant cash bonus on any deposit of $20 or more. Titan Poker is part of the iPoker Network, meaning they benefit from increased traffic brought to all sites on the network. With iPoker acquiring several key previously autonomous poker rooms they're now one of the busiest networks and are able to offer larger tournaments and hundreds of active ring games as a result.

The number of new players at Titan Poker equates to loose action and pots are often very large relative to the blinds. Despite online poker's proliferation of tighter, more-experienced players the iPoker network offers so many active cash games that players and pick and choose between the wilder tables. On the technical side, I've also been impressed with their customer service and payouts, which have both been quick in my experiences. Combined with above-average software and soft tables, we give them high marks overall.

Bonus (150% up to $500 + $20 Extra) and Promotions:   5/5

The initial deposit bonus from Titan Poker is increased for our players at a special 150% rate, good up to a $500 maximum. Please note that you must download the software through our links and use bonus code THEFISH500 to qualify for this increased bonus. While the 150% bonus may take many hours of low-limit gameplay to work off, I found that playing $1/2 no-limit converted $10 of bonus money every 2 or 3 hours.

Additionally, our new Titan Poker players receive a $20 instant cash bonus on any deposit. This is an exclusive offer only available to players signing up through our links. The $20 is credited instantly to your real money account as soon as you make your first deposit. Players will also still receive the 150% play-through bonus making this an extremely generous exclusive bonus.

Another perk for new players is the $20,000 freeroll at the end of each month. Titan Poker gives 5 new player freeroll tokens that can be used in special qualifiers for 3 months. The top 50 players from these qualifiers make it to the $20,000 final. I won't waste my time to play in wild freerolls for miniscule prizes, but a $20,000 prize pool is worthwhile with a pretty limited field. While the qualifiers can be full of wild play and take hours to complete, try opening it as a secondary table behind your more important game.

Titan Poker also offers $15,000, $25,000, and $100,000 prizes for anyone who wins 5 or 6 Sit 'n Go tournaments consecutively at differing buy-ins. While this would be very tough to accomplish, I suppose you could get hit over the head with the deck over, and over, and over, and over again, right? Finally, Titan Poker has a Top Hand of the Day Jackpot and a Bad Beat Bonus.

Fish:   3/5

One of the best reasons to play at Titan Poker is the number of fish that populate the tables. This network largely attracts new players so the skill level is generally below that of more established poker sites. Much of the action used to be restricted to the lower limits, but a recent explosion in traffic has generated action at many of the higher-stakes tables. There are at least several dozen active tables up to the $5/10 NL level. Mostly, the shorthanded games dominate at the higher limits.

Many full tables at the middle limits  at Titan Poker have flop percentages of 25+%, which equates to more passive players willing to see more flops with speculative hands. While many tables will contain mostly cautious, timid players driving the flop percentages below 10% the substantial amount of full tables allows you to be selective and limit your choices to more active tables. If you've ever gotten greedy (read dangerous) about everyone folding to your raise with pocket Aces, you might consider trying out a looser site like Titan Poker. I've also found that players are generally paid off more than average at Titan Poker when hitting monster hands. Overall, you should run into soft competition and large pots here.

Tournaments:   4/5

The tournaments at Titan Poker have improved greatly both in terms of frequency and the number of players joining each event. Their largest promotion right now is a one-time $2,500,000 guaranteed tournament with a $1,500 buy-in. There are plenty of daily satellites and on-going Sit and Gos with buy-ins from $3. While they could work on adding some more events during off-peak hours, tourneys with $10-20 buy-ins usually attract at least 400 or 500 players. The Sit and Go section is another positive with wait-times under 5 minutes or so for 10-handed tourneys under $50. Titan Poker also hosts several variations with my favorite being the double-stack events.

Titan Poker mostly offers daily guaranteed prize pool tournaments with daily events ranging from $1,500 up to $25,000, usually for less than a $25 buy-in. Often, these tournaments don't meet the guarantee for number of players so a couple of hundred dollars is usually added to the prize pool. For players who don't mind the insanity of rebuy events, nightly guarantees of up to $50,000 are offered with buy-ins under $30. The largest weekly Titan Poker offering takes place every Sunday at 18:00 GMT. It's a $250,000 guarantee for a $200 buy-in.

Software:   4/5

On a personal preference, I like the blue color scheme of the Titan Poker software. In terms of practicality, it is pretty easy to use with a logical layout. While it is easy to find the desired cash game in the lobby, they leave empty tables in the list which can be somewhat frustrating. In terms of graphics, the tables and avatars are pretty sharp with a 3-D touch. Each player is able to choose his own avatar at the table from a few pre-selected options. I like the white-suit-donned mafia guy, but that's just me.

The cards are easy to read, which is important if you're multi-tabling. Other positives include a nice hand history feature with a rare graphical interface. Also, Titan Poker likes to tout their addition of a number of casino games like Blackjack and 3-Card Poker. I'll stay away from them, but casino gamblers might enjoy this feature.

Payouts:   4.5/5

Both deposits and payouts have been very smooth for me at this site, and NETeller cashouts only took about 24-36 hours. I like the fact that they offer one of the most extensive cashiers with a large number of deposit options.

Customer Service  4.5/5

Sites that offer telephone, chat, and e-mail support high scores with me. While e-mail support is pretty quick, I will usually just open up the live chat box from within the software. You can instantly speak with an agent, so you can get your problem resolved quickly.

Player Traffic

As I mentioned before, Titan Poker is on a new but growing network in iPoker. While this used to be a niche poker site, their parent network has become one of the top non-US in terms of traffic thanks for many acquisitions of previously independent sites. Both ring games and tournaments offer plenty of choices at any hour.

Best Features

Increased deposit bonus. The 150% bonus is generous and the instant $20 really makes this a substantial offer.

Strong guaranteed tournament schedule. There are at least 20 daily guarantees with most being more than $3,000.

Very loose tables. I find that the player base here is mostly filled with newer wilder players. You can usually expect big pots at this site.

Good customer service. They offer phone and chat support, so you don't have to wait to get a response to an issue.

Game Selection: Hold'em, Omaha, Stud

Limits: Limit: 2c/4c up to $300/$600    No-Limit: 1c/2c up to $200/$400

Deposit Methods: NETeller, Citadel, Instadebit, PaySafeCard, UseMyBank, EcoCard, Moneybookers, Ukash, WebMoney, Click2Pay, major credit cards, wire transfers, and cashier's checks. The Instadebit option is one of the easiest as it allows transfers directly from your checking account.

Minimum Deposit: $25

Tips: While I generally discourage slowplaying on the flop with a hand that is vulnerable to draws, there are certain types of hands that you must slowplay to build a pot - especially at an active site like Titan Poker. For examples, if you play pocket 7-7 from the button and the flop comes with 7-5-5, you should definitely check or just call to try to keep as many players in as possible. You've made top full house, which is very unlikely to be drawn out on. In fact, you should welcome a free card so that your opponents can catch up to your monster.

You might consider let your opponents take a card off the deck to complete their straight or flush. When you do raise on the turn or river, they certainly won't suspect that they're beaten and you'll get maximum value for your hand. Other hands that you should consider slowplaying on the flop include the nut flush or quads. When you hit such a big hand, you've essentially crippled the deck so your opponents probably won't have much on the flop. Take it slowly and let them catch up a little. Especially on a site like this, you'll usually get plenty of action down the line.
