About the Vegas Satellites at Americas Cardroom
The satellites will be held later this month on June 18th and June 25th. On both days, players will be able to enter:
- A $95 buy-in tournament, where 5 packages are being given away
- A $630 buy-in tournament, where 10 packages are being given away

What’s Included in the Prize Packages?
Everyone who wins a prize package from these satellites at Americas Cardroom will receive the $10,000 buy-in as well as $2,500 for travel expenses. However, if you’re really not keen on taking part in the WSOP Main Event, then you can just take the cash prize.

So, if you’re planning to enter on one of the first days and making it all the way to the final table, your $2,500 may not cover the entirety of your stay – especially if you’re staying at The Horseshoe, where the WSOP is taking place. Here, you’re looking at paying upwards of $4,000 to cover your stay for the full two weeks.
There are plenty of other cheaper options during that time, though. The Golden Nugget, Four Queens and Hotel Apache all offer stays of less than $2,000 for the entire time. So, it’s entirely possible for your $12,500 prize package to fund your whole trip!
What to Expect in the WSOP 2023 Main Event
It is anticipated that the WSOP Main Event this year will be one for the books, breaking records set in previous years. Organizers believe that more than 10,000 people will turn out for the event, breaking the record set by the 2006 Main Event which drew 8,663 runners.
That year, a prize pool worth $81 million was generated, and Jamie Gold won the first-place prize of $12 million. So, if the organizers’ estimates are correct, we could be looking at a $90 million prize pool in the WSOP 2023 Main Event.
