New Tournament Formats
Of the events on offer, the marathon and half-marathon events are definitely worth checking out, as they are exclusive to this series. They were first introduced in the WPTDeepStacks event held in April this year, featuring a fast-paced format.
In the last Marathon that was hosted by the WPT and 888poker, levels were limited to just 8 minutes and players were permitted to three buy-ins. There are also a late registration period of four years, which was a big hit with all runners.
The half-marathon offered up more of the same but with lower guarantees and smaller buy-ins.

About WPT Deepstacks
The WPT Deepstacks series was first launched in 2014 in San Diego. The next year, the series expanded across America and there was even a leg held in Malta.
By Season 4, WPT Deepstacks achieved even more international acclaim as Amsterdam, Cannes, Marrakech, Johannesburg and Brussels became stops on the tour. With each passing year, the series has added many more countries, travelling to South Korea, New Zealand, Russia and Brasil – so, it was only natural that it was brought online for poker players around the world to enjoy.
