Luxury Comes To Sports Betting With The Venetian Sportsbook

The five-star luxury hotel designed with Venice, Italy, in mind — The Venetian Hotel and Casino — announced a new sportsbook that will be available to their guests. The privately-owned hotel, located on the famed Las Vegas Strip on the site of the former Sands Hotel, will be 20 years old on May 3.

Several famous Venice landmarks can be found throughout the luxurious hotel. Those sites are the Palazzo Ducale, Piazza San Marco, Lion of Venice.

The hotel is owned by billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who also owned the Sands Hotel and the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas and several other properties around the world. The Venetian Hotel and Casino is the largest one in Las Vegas, with 4,049 hotel rooms and over 130,000 square feet of gaming space.

The hotel, along with other hotels in Vegas, were ordered to close to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Recently, a small group of reporters toured the hotel as it goes through minor renovations during the shutdown. The Venetian Sportsbook is located on the West side of the hotel, not in the middle of the casino, where other notable gaming items are located.

Older Sportsbook At The Hotel Located In The Middle

The older sportsbook, the Cosmopolitan Sportsbook, is located in the dead center of the casino and is one of the things going through a renovation right now. The group that saw the new Venetian Sportsbook said it’s located in a very dark room, near a restaurant that has stadium seating.

It’s located on the lower level of the hotel and has several video games located right near it. It is said to be the most luxurious sportsbook that is located on the Las Vegas Strip.

When gambling operations are running smoothly in the hotel, the area where the sportsbook is located will be open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The actual Venetian Sportsbook only takes bets starting at 9 am until 10 pm every day.

A person must be 21 to place a bet at the sportsbook. The sportsbook has extended hours during the football and baseball seasons.

Every guest that enters the sportsbook area is given their own personal TV to watch the event they placed a bet on. These areas are also equipped with a desk, calculator, and pens and writing paper, along with a tablet.

Sportsbook Said To Be The Most Luxurious Ever Seen

These personal areas where guests are seated are very private, with decorative walls in between each space. The area is located next to a high-end bar in the casino, and every two guests placing wagers have their waitstaff to wait on them.

VIP’s have reserved seating in the area that a host brings them to. Another unique feature that the Venetian Sportsbook has is a custom-built 10×100-foot giant screen at a curved angle. The screen can show 42 different games simultaneously.

There are side screens next to the giant screen that have all of the sports betting odds that the sportsbook makes available for all events of that day. The odds that the Venetian Sportsbook offers its customers and guests is made possible by technology from CG Technology, which also provides services to most of the other hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip.
