Start making your summer plans; the World Series of Poker has just announced its full 2022 schedule. It will feature 88 events across three weeks, during the series’ first time on the Las Vegas Strip.
Largest WSOP Capacity
Towards the end of last year’s World Series of Poker, it was announced that the event would be leaving The Rio and moving to Paris and Bally’s. This creates a space of 200,000 square feet and 600 poker tables – so, more players than ever will be able to take part.
“We’re ready to welcome players from all over the world to our housewarming party at Bally’s, soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris. The schedule is jam-packed with first-class events, and we expect this to be the biggest and most anticipated WSOP yet.” – Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the WSOP.
No More COVID Requires at the 2022 WSOP
Last year, the event’s COVID requirements were polarizing among poker players. Organizers required participants to be fully vaccinated and to wear masks throughout the building.
This time around, there is no vaccine requirement. Based on the current situation, masks will also not be required – but, that may change if things take a turn for the worse.
